Colours, style and position
Make the chat look like part of your site: your name, your colour, your words. Nothing of ours is shown to your visitors.
Set it up#
- Open BrandingHolaReply › Settings › Branding. The Live preview beside it shows each change.
- Name, icon and colourChat icon (square works best; your initials until you add one), Assistant name, Line under the name (“AI assistant” unless you write your own words, or turn it off) and Accent colour. The check beside the colour says Readable or Hard to read.
- Style and themeStyle: Clean or Colour header. Theme: Automatic (follows each visitor), Light or Dark.

Questions#
Can I pick a ready-made look for the chat?
Yes, on any website: in the Desk, Manage, Settings, Look, Choose a template. Eight looks are ready: HolaReply (the default), Sharp, Garden, Minimal, Midnight, Soft, Boutique and Bold. One click puts it on your website. A template changes only how the chat looks, never its name, words or answers. Keep your brand colour or take the template’s, change anything after under Customize, and Undo brings your previous look back.
Can the chat match a sharp, square website design?
Yes, on any website: in the Desk, Manage, Settings, Look, choose the style Sharp (square corners, outlines, a hard shadow). Turn on A second colour for small touches for icons and tags, and give a Second font your website already loads (for example a mono font) for small labels. Under the chat button, Words before the icon puts the button’s words first. In Conversation starters, each starter can have a short tag above its label and one of the icons.
Can I write the welcome screen myself?
Yes, on Shopify and any website: in the Desk, Manage, Settings, General, Welcome screen: a heading, a line under it, a picture beside it and the words in the question field. Empty fields keep the standard words in each visitor’s language. Under Conversation starters (up to 4), give each one a label and, if you like, a picture, an icon and a first reply with up to 4 answer buttons: the first reply comes at once, without the AI, and does not count as an AI conversation. For a dark chat in your own colour, choose Dark, from your brand colour under Look.
Can I hide the chat on some pages?
Yes, on Shopify and any website, on every plan: in the Desk, Manage, Settings, Look, Pages without the chat. Click Cart and checkout or Account and login, or type in the search box: pages HolaReply has read appear, and a click adds one. You can also type an address, such as /terms/; end it with * for every page under it, such as /careers/*. Then Save. On those pages there is no chat button and no proactive message. The line on your site stays as it is.
Can visitors make the chat bigger?
Yes, on Shopify and any website: the expand button in the chat’s header makes it larger, with slightly bigger text, on screens 768 pixels wide or more. Each visitor’s choice is kept on their device. To hide the button: in the Desk, Manage, Settings, Features, switch off Larger chat button.
No logo?
The chat shows the first letter of the assistant’s name (on WordPress, the initials).
Can I open the chat from my own button?
Yes, on every platform: link to #holareply-chat, add data-holareply-open to any button, or call window.HolaReply.open() (and window.HolaReply.close()). A page opened with #holareply-chat at the end of its address opens the chat by itself.
A logo in the Desk too?
On Pro: on WordPress, Settings, Branding, Sales Desk logo; on Shopify, in the Desk, Manage, Settings, Look.
My site is in several languages?
The AI already answers each visitor in their language. Your own words (first message, quick replies and, on any website, the bubble and the button) can be written per language in the Desk: Manage, Settings, General, Chat words in other languages. The page’s language picks them; on Shopify, the visitor’s language.
