Getting started
HolaReply works on any WordPress site running WordPress 6.6 or newer and PHP 8.0 or newer. WooCommerce is optional.
1. Install and activate
In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the HolaReply zip file and click Install Now, then Activate.
2. Add your AI key
Go to HolaReply → Settings → AI connection. Create a free key in Google AI Studio, paste it and save. The key is encrypted with your site’s own keys and never shown again. If your site runs WordPress 7 with an AI connector set up, HolaReply can use that instead.
3. Choose what the assistant reads
Go to HolaReply → Content & index. Switch on the content types it may use — pages, posts, products — and build the index. Only published content is ever read. From then on, a page is re-read a minute after you edit it.
4. Write the answers your site doesn’t give
HolaReply → Knowledge base: add questions like “What is your minimum order?” with your answer, and other ways people ask it.
5. Brand it and switch it on
HolaReply → Settings → Branding: your name, icon, colour, greeting and quick replies, with a live preview. Then switch the widget on in General.
6. Lock the topics a person must answer
Settings → Answers → Locked topics: prices, contracts, allergens and legal questions are locked by default. Add or remove your own.
Sales Desk (Pro)
The Desk is your team’s own page on your site, at yoursite.com/desk/ by default. Add salespeople from Manage → Team; each gets an email to set their own password and never sees the WordPress dashboard.
Page caches
HolaReply works with WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache and WP-Optimize. The chat asks the server for nothing that a cached page could make stale, and the Sales Desk keeps itself out of page caches.
